Role reports to- Plant Planning Business Manager

Location- Lititz, PA

What You Will Do

The Outbound Clerk is responsible for the timely communication of shipping information to carriers and distributors.Processes all shipping documents generated daily. Performs necessary shipping using the SAP system to ensure the accuracy of all Distribution shipments and the completion and end load of these jobs.Confirm loads are picked up in a timely manner.Assists in the training of new colleagues and the development of efficient job task procedures. Assists with receiving products inbound, also including tanker loads. Work with RTO on carrier/trailer updates.

Key Responsibilities

• Handles phone inquiries, problems or questions from carriers, distributors, inventory department, and transportation
• Assists hourly colleagues with summary reports, pallet reports, and any problems with trailers.
• Updates trailer audits daily. Contact carrier if complications with the trailer equipment in the yard.
• Notifies carriers daily as to the number of trailers being loaded.
• Ensures orders from Inventory/Transportation are received on a daily basis.
• Updates delivery dates and times in SAP with pick up times for drivers to pick up loads.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience in the transportation, distribution or related discipline
• Good oral and written communication skills, which includes a good working knowledge of computer skills to include- Microsoft Software packages, Outlook, Word and Excel.
