We’re looking for a strategically minded individual with a background and passion for building customer experiences and CRM journeys for world-class brands. Your ability to create innovative, strategic communications plans will spark new ideas and thoughtfully connect with the end-customer. You will have the unique opportunity to work alongside an interdisciplinary team, other strategists and collaborative clients to create impactful work and further brand growth goals.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as a strategic thought leader, accountable for providing effective marketing solutions.
- Define scope and recommended approach of major strategic initiatives for clients.
- Convince clients of the value of strategic services to their business – help them define needs and potential solutions.
- Lead communication strategies/CRM strategies to identify, capture, and nurture customers across the entire decision-making process.
- Work collaboratively in an interagency team model to build customer experience programs that leverage a multitude of channels, such as web, email, mobile, and media.
- Unearth novel insights that fuel strategic plans and briefs.
- Codify and publish formal frameworks and methodologies for approaching major strategic issues, leveraging existing intellectual capital and developing innovative concepts.
- Provide methodological support, coaching, and training to staff.
- Guide internal teams in the identification of marketing opportunities.
- Present strategic recommendations to clients.
- Create a team environment and participate in the hiring of new staff.
What you’ve got:
- Proven leadership ability with strong client relationship skills.
- Must be highly motivated with a strong record of excellence and professional achievement.
- Emphasis on qualities such as intellectual curiosity, responsibility, determination, creativity, flexibility, drive, and self-confidence.
- 10 years of business experience in Marketing Strategy, Management Consulting, or Interactive Consulting.
- In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines (including primary research, customer segmentation, targeting, and direct marketing).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with various deadlines simultaneously.
- Degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and development of PowerPoint or Keynote presentations.
- Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills with strict attention to detail.
- Experience managing and coordinating multiple strategy projects across internal teams and client relationships.

Our hybrid work model:
KERN's current hybrid model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. As such, we have the option to work from home two days per week, and are required to be in-office a minimum of three days per week.

The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000.00 – 175,000.00. Exactly where a prospective employee will be paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, the actual salary ranges for current and former employees who are either currently filling a similar role or did in the past; the candidate’s depth of experience and qualifications; the level of specialization the role requires; budgetary considerations; the market demand for that role and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based.
