Our Rochester, MN location is part of our Applied Health and Nutrition Division and specializes in fermented ingredients for products related to the bio-science industry. Our team is proud of the work they do and have a focus on clean label or natural products ensuring freshness.

Key responsibilities
Stages and blends ingredients, packages products, and COPs all blending and packaging equipment during scheduled cleaning periods. Follows established procedures to achieve QC approved products.
- Performs daily set up and running of packer control system, by understanding packer parts, de-aeration probes, bag sealer, bag conveyor and flattener, packer discharge station and sifter system, .
- Performs daily HACCP checks for packaging room and blend room, (screen check, metal detector, and tool check list) and understands the important of this checklist.
- Fills out powders packaging summary and dry blending and packaging weight control chart, and quality control check-off procedures.
- Washes and cleans equipment per the sanitation manual. Follows GMP program and rules.
- Operates forklift per training procedures.
- Other duties ad assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience Needed: On the job training
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- The physical demands of this position include the ability to walk and stand on a regular basis. Must climb stairs and ladders. The ability to reach, bend/stoop, crouch, squat, push/pull and manipulate is frequently required. Must frequently lift product from a variety of positions to 55 pounds and has occasional requirement to lift over 55 pounds. Vision and the ability to read and write are required to perform this job. Talking and hearing are not essential functions of this position.
- The job is performed inside. There is exposure to humidity, dust, fumes, noise, and chemical agents. Hearing protection is required. On occasion there is close proximity to moving objects and sharp tools and limited room for movement when staging product. The floor surface is linoleum, metal grates, or concrete frequently wet in some areas. The temperature is variable based on the season and the task being performed.
