About the role
Our Seattle, WA location is part of our Liquid Beverage division and creates syrups and sweet sauce variations for Kerry customers and brands. You’ll be working in a state-of-the-art facility with a team that’s committed to helping each other succeed in their roles though structured training with committed and engaged leadership. The Sanitation & Quality Supervisor will be responsible for the plant and production equipment cleaning, chemical handling, pest control, building and grounds cleaning and upkeeping of the facility. Provide leadership and guidance to sanitation operators, as well as Quality Technicians, and Production Operators. Overall assurance of food safety and quality principles.
What would you do?
- Lead the implementation, verification, and validation of all SSOPs.
- Support the implementation and development of metrics for successful sanitation, pest control, and other Quality programs.
- Lead and oversee the maintenance and improvement of the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Lead and promote capability to all employees conducting sanitation activities. This involves organization, training, motivation, and methodology development.
- Direct and coordinate all daily sanitation activities within the plant, including common areas, grounds, and surroundings.
- Focus on Sanitation optimization and continuous improvement.
- Support the change management process. Ensure that sanitation is incorporated into all changes introduced into the plant.
- Cleaning & Sanitation (C&S) of factory equipment (routine and non-routine), production areas (routine and unplanned events), drains, etc.
- Collaborate with HSE on chemical usage, PPE, wastewater impacts related to Sanitation activities, etc.
- Understand, adhere to, and champion GMP and Food Safety principles throughout the facility.
- Oversee chemical inventory.
What will you need to be successful?
- B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry, or other related degree.
- At least 3 years food plant experience.
- Sanitation experience, CIP/COP.
- Regulatory understanding.
- Environmental monitoring for pathogens and sanitary indicators.
- Soil identification & chemical selection.
- C&S verification practices.
