What are the responsibilities and job description for the Woodworking / Manufacturing position at Kestrel Shutters & Doors?
Perform a variety of duties as assigned to aid in the manufacturing of wood shutters and doors. This will involve everything from handling raw lumber, to processing the lumber into milled parts, cutting and machining milled parts, assembling and sanding milled parts, sanding, crating, and shipping finished doors and shutters. Duties will also include maintaining a clean, safe and organized work area as well as routine equipment maintenance, but could also include assisting in other areas as deemed necessary by management due to business level fluctuations.
Work week is Monday-Thursday, 10 hour days.
Skills/Abilities
- Able to read and use a tape measure to the nearest 1/32”
- Able to convert fractions/decimals for the purpose of measurements
- Hands on skills
- Cooperative and willing to assist others.
- Ability to closely follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with others.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Physical Activities and Requirements of this Position
- Ability to move at least 50 pounds
- Ability to access tools and parts
- Ability to frequently operate pneumatic and electric tools
Working Conditions
- Typical manufacturing environment to include fluctuating temperatures and sound levels.
Requirements
(90 Day Probation Period) The first 90 Days of the Employment Term shall be considered Employee’s probationary period.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
