What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard - Sign-On Bonus position at Keswick Hall?
Overview
The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety pool guests by preventing and responding to emergencies.
Sign on bonus offered and paid upon offer acceptance for anyone that signs on for the 2023 season.
Responsibilities
1. Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.
2. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
3. Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintains a high standard of customer service.
4. Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
5. Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures.
Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
Strong customer relations skills.
A positive attitude and the ability to act proactively in the guest’s interest.
A passion for learning and the outdoors.
Willing to work in a team atmosphere.
SUPERVISION
Position functions supervision.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Certified in CPR, First Aid AED and Lifeguarding
