MISSION & VISION STATEMENT:

The Kewa Pueblo Health Corporation (KPHC) is established for the purposes of carrying out the vision and mission of the Santo Domingo Health Center (SDHC). The MISSION of KPHC is: “ENSURING HEALTH & WELLNESS THROUGH EXCELLENCE IN HEALTHCARE WITH RESPECT FOR CULTURE” and the VISION OF KPHC is: “HEALTHY PEOPLE, HEALTHY COMMUNITY, and HEALTHY LIFESTYLE”.


POSITION PURPOSE:

Reports to the Chief Operations Officer, the incumbent is responsible for supervision and oversight of the marketing and corporate communications. Serves as primary contact for all of the Corporation’s marketing initiatives which includes but is not limited to: employee appreciation, branding strategies, facilitating effective conceptual conversations which result in increased consumer/patient awareness programs; health fairs; recruitment advertising, local and national campaigns; designing and creating highly-effective and memorable newsletters, website content and layout, announcements, and articles using multiple types of mediums.

  • Comply with all Kewa Pueblo Health Corporation and Santo Domingo Health Center policies and procedures, as well.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Refine the corporation’s message through regular user feedback using effective methods which include but are not limited to: beta and pilot programs, focus groups and other techniques.
  • Assists in initiatives for branding of the organization, employee appreciation, and maintaining staff morale.
  • Develops strategic marketing initiatives and activities involving various forms of print and online content.
  • Responsible for development of marketing policies and procedures for the Corporation.
  • Creates branded campaigns which includes but is not limited to: research, analytical analysis, forecasts, organizing and planning marketing presentations and plans.
  • Oversight and lead the development of the company website, devising strategies to drive online traffic and continuing to improve usability, design, content, and conversion.
  • Supervise, monitor, and lead the development of the social media presence for the Corporation.
  • Effectively collaborates with key stakeholders in all aspects of the delivery of marketing services for KPHC.
  • Facilitates and collaborates with requestors and all levels of leadership to deliver an effective and memorable strategy and editorial plan(s) to meet KPHC’s objectives while maintain fiscal controls in accordance with pertinent policies and procedures.
  • Maintains effective, cooperative, and professional working relationships while promoting the strategic marketing direction of KPHC.
  • Utilizes various types of software (spreadsheets, graphics, charts, statistical date, etc.) to produce documents, which require complex formats.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or marketing or equivalent education, and/or work experience totaling six (6) years of directly related work experience.


Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are required.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in graphic design; customer relationship management; strategic marketing programming.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks); design software applications and word-process at 60 WPM.
  • Maintain a satisfactory work performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous employers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in a professional office environment.

  • Bilingual skills in English and the Keres native language.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the primary functions of this job. Normal office conditions exist, and the noise level in the work environment can vary from low to moderate. This position may be exposed to certain health risks that are inherent when working within a health center facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, talk and hear. There may be prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, and reading. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors and staff.

MENTAL DEMANDS:

There are a number of deadlines associated with this position. The employee must also multi-task and interact with a wider variety of people on various and, at times, complicated issues.
