Accountant

Working in Accounting team with other investments to complete end to end process for various investments. Duties include journal entries, accruals, reconcilements, maintenance in Workday, integration reviews and inquiries.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Perform Accounting tasks for all other investment (Low Income Housing, Non-Tax Credit & Equity) related activities
• Review Balance Sheet and Income Statement for reasonableness
• Research and understand causes of variance to plan, forecast, and prior period
• Participate in month- end close process through analysis, review, identification of errors or inconsistencies, corrections where appropriate
• Understand and interpret both manual general ledger entries and subsystem interface entries from various operations groups
• Perform moderate to complex reconciliations or review select general ledger accounts
• Resolve moderate to complex reconciliation exceptions
• Establish, monitor, and adjust accruals or amortization entries where appropriate
• Perform research for inquiries concerning recorded transactions.
• Prepare, analyze, coordinate and review regulatory reporting
• Document new departmental procedures, update changes to existing procedures, and/or review procedures
• Complete audit requests
• Support monitoring and testing of internal control including completing quality reviews for moderate to complex departmental functions/ GRC testing and coordination
• Proactively identify and implement areas of improvement in all aspects of current functions
• In depth excel skills for developing/creating complex calculations in workbooks
• Develop understanding of applicable technical accounting guidance and review Financial Statements for conformity with GAAP
  
  
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 3- 5 years’ experience in a financial related field
• PC literate with experience using Microsoft Windows applications.
• Experience with or exposure to Workday and other subsystem applications.
  
  
  

Compensation And Benefits

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $60,000 to $65,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
