Salary Range: $42,000 - $44,000/annually
Position Description:
A Grocery Delivery Coordinator provides the coordination of food shelf delivery services. This position works with program participants, volunteers, and donors to support the Basic Needs and Senior programs of the organization.
Essential Functions:
40% - Delivery Coordination
- Schedule and route deliveries.
- Receive food deliveries and donations, assist with packing food items as needed.
- Manage and track food delivery.
30% - Participant Service Management
- Respond to delivery service inquiries and referrals. Provide information about program, apply an eligibility assessment, and complete intake process for participants.
- Maintain contact with program participants for delivery reminders and service requests.
- Enter and maintain client information in program databases
- Ensure that food deliveries meet participants’ dietary needs
10% - Volunteer and Delivery Supervision
- Coordinate w Volunteer Coordinator and Warehouse Supervisor to effectively utilize volunteers; supervise volunteers during specific GD tasks.
- Coordinate external delivery services.
5% - Program support
- Support Basic Needs services at food shelves and community distributions
- Assure respectful customer service for all recipients
- Participate in Basic Needs data management and special projects
5% - Other duties or projects as assigned
Qualification Requirements
- A valid MN Driver’s License and current insurance.
- A high school diploma or equivalent completion.
- MN DOT medical card or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Prior experience managing inventory.
- Scheduling, planning, and handling logistics experience.
- Excellent customer services skills and the ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Qualification Preferences
- Fluency in a second language such as: Karen, Hmong. Amharic, Oromo, Somali, or Spanish.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

- Able to lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height and to bend and twist while lifting.
- Frequent standing.
- Computer work, telephone calls.
- Lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling.

- Driving a commercial vehicle.
- Occasional work outdoors in inclement weather is required.
