Requirements:

An open heart and desire to empower those with significant mental health conditions to create a life worth living.

Responsibilities:

Assist our clients in the development of personal living skills that will enable them to function in the community at a higher level; enhance the clients' knowledge of the community so that the clients can better utilize and enjoy the local community supports such as family, friends, churches and other "natural" resources.

Provide direct service to clients; Aid clients in transportation training, skill development groups and leisure activities as structured and supervised by the program supervisor.

Conduct verbal and task-oriented groups that focus on daily living skills as necessary and appropriate.

Participate and plan program activities, including lunch/dinner preparation and grocery shopping.

BA/BS in human service field required.

Demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in written form. Must maintain client charts according to agency standards and regulatory requirements.

Ability to prioritize and organize a variety of tasks to support persons served and program needs.

Good computer skills; Provide transportation in own vehicle when necessary; Assists supervisor in ensuring safe, secure and sanitary conditions in program quarters.

Must have valid driver's license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

  • Community & Human Services: 1 year (Preferred)
