The Training Coordinator is responsible for the successful development and implementation of effective training strategies. Collaborates with all levels of the organization to strategically plan, research, design, develop, execute, and evaluate a variety of training materials for internal and external audiences. Evaluate effectiveness of training and prepares detailed reports of projects and results.

What you’ll do:

  • Understand internal and external training and development needs and create course materials that meet those needs.
  • Work with SMEs within various levels of the organization to develop and provide training.
  • Creates, maintains and audits compliance training records and files. Ensures adherence to training SOPs/policies and annual training requirements, including new procedure training and re-certification activities.
  • Serves as the administrator for the Company’s LMS and other web-based learning portals.
  • Designs, develops and delivers web-based training and live instructor-led training.
  • Applies successful learning technology and platforms in delivery and management of training programs. Uses creative techniques in blending different e-learning strategies with traditional training methods to maximize learning.
  • Guides the development of training programs, materials and toolkits for new hires and current employees using structured instructional design methodology.
  • Works closely with functional training groups to provide guidance and develop tools to support the implementation of learning solutions related to functional and technical skills.
  • Creates measurement and evaluation of all training to be provided, tracking effectiveness and messaging and makes recommended refinements and feedback to operational staff.
  • Conducts internal audits of process and system applications to ensure processes, policy and desktops are being implemented and followed; creates a report back to management and develops refresher-training classes as required.
  • Develops training effectiveness indicators and outcome measures, collects data from all KEPRO locations and report data to the corporate indicator dashboard.
  • Prepares historical and managerial reports on education and training activities. Delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements, documentation and presentations.
  • Maintains competencies in new and emerging training technologies.
  • Assists with the development and delivery of organizational development initiatives.
  • Responsible for management eLearning content and ensures all training is captures within the LMS.
  • Applies proven instructional design methodology along with operations knowledge and expertise in order to manage online training.
  • Support the end users by working with business units and training leadership to register learners, develop on-line content and training support requests.
  • Management of the Performance Management Process and system.
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent with at least two (2) years additional related work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Training and Development or Organizational Development is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of formal education and recent/related experience considered.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Training delivery methods to include instructor-led, self-led, e-learning and other alternative methods of delivery; e.g. a blended learning strategy.
  • Instructional System Design and training measurement and evaluation techniques.
  • Adult learning theories, principles and practices.
  • Advance knowledge of e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate and Camtasia.
  • Working knowledge of graphics software such as Adobe CSS and Photoshop.
  • Strong desktop application skills (MS Word, Adobe, etc.)
  • LMS/relational database structure.
  • Project management fundamentals.
  • Work effectively within fast paced environment and with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Effectively influence managers.
  • Present information effectively one-on-one in large/small group settings.
  • Think strategically and identify critical success factors when developing strategy and plans for assigned area of responsibility.
  • Ability to translate diverse pieces of information into conclusions and results.
  • Proactively develop and maintain solid business partnerships to ensure success for the organization.
  • Maintain a consistently high level of attention to detail.
  • Develop, sponsor, or support the introduction of new and improved methods, products, procedures, or technologies.
  • Comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
  • Change management aptitude and ability. Takes a proactive role in bringing about change, applying new ways to develop the business through improved management of people and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with effective presentation skills.
  • Results oriented individual who can prioritize initiatives, plan and execute on those initiatives.
  • Competency in curriculum development, delivery and evaluation processes.
  • Excellent project management skills set as well as a strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to apply problem solving methods to identified training and development needs.
  • Strong implementation skills and a customer-service based approach that supports business objectives, resulting in improved performance and increased customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborative skills are critical for this position in order to work with various groups and other training professionals effectively.
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur cultural change, facilitating and enhancing performance within a cross-functional environment.

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible experience in the development and delivery of training programs.
  • Recent and related experience in medical management field preferred.
  • Must have applicable experience related to adult learning theory and techniques and have experience documenting procedures and processes, delivering technical training, facilitating soft-skills learning and curriculum design.
  • ASTD membership preferred.
