Data Scientist

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Scientist in Mt. Pleasant, PA. Summary: The Data Scientist will apply statistical techniques and AI/ML modeling to data and problems as client needs and project specifications demand. Their responsibilities will include coordination with the Data Architect, Data Analysts, and Business Analyst in data exploration, evaluation, and analytic/AI/ML planning. Data Scientists will also coordinate data preparation/transformation for analytic processes with Data Engineers and AI/ML Engineers. They will primarily be responsible for creating, evaluating, and documenting AI/ML models. Duties Include:

• Data Scientist will assess which AI/ML tools will be best suited to solve client problems using available data
• Apply statistical techniques to select, create, and evaluate performance of AI/ML models
• Prepare data for statistical modeling
• Communicate with client stakeholders to ensure that AI/ML models are consistent with client needs
• As a Data Scientist, you will assist in deep data exploration processes
• Document implementation details for deployed AI/ML models
  
  

Requirements

• 3 years of coding experience in Python for statistical modeling and/or data science
• Experience with AWS Sagemaker tools and ML model orchestration in the AWS platform in general
• Experience writing and deploying statistical modeling tools and/or AI/ML models
• Experience and familiarity with common data science technologies (Torch, SKLearn, TensorFlow, etc.)
• Familiarity with any requisite data architecture or technologies used by the client (AWS)
  
  

Common Optional Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with SQL
• Specific qualifications will likely need to be tailored to the exact kind(s) of statistical or AI/ML inference needed by the client
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
