What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medicaid Billing position at Kforce Inc.?
- MDH, DDA, and Medicaid billing data entry, electronic transfer of data within systems and upload to various MD State websites
- Medicaid Billing will perform ongoing, consistent billing file reconciliations, corrections, and resubmittals to resolve outstanding billing issues
- Continually work to facilitate integrity of billing data, corrections, updates, various entries, and processing activities
- Hands-on data entry with a focus on data preparation in advance of billing, error and denial corrections, process improvements
- Review enrollment data for participants, employees, and vendors to ensure a match with MDH records; Enter corrections for inaccuracies
- Monitoring, assessing, and correcting billing files as necessary to ensure completion, acceptance, and compliance
- As a Medicaid Billing, under the direction of the Director of Finance, you will create and submit manual invoices to DDA for direct billing activities; Record the same in the accounting system
- Communicate discrepancies and collaborate with Self-Directed Services Team and Accounting Team on resolutions
- High School diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field strongly preferred
- Two years of accounting experience, specifically with Medicare/Medicaid billing and revenue reconciliation
- Knowledge in Medicaid billing required; Prior knowledge/experience with DDA funding preferred
- Superior ability to prioritize and focus in a high-paced environment
- A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality; Needs to be a team player who is committed to lifelong learning
- Ability to work autonomously, in ambiguous situations with little direction, running toward problems without being asked; Solutions oriented
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
