What are the responsibilities and job description for the SAP ABAB Technical Consultant position at Kforce Inc.?
- SAP ABAB Technician Consultant will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business processes, and design technical solutions using SAP ABAP
- Develop and enhance ABAP programs, interfaces, reports, and forms to support various functional modules within SAP
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of ABAP programs to ensure high quality and reliable solutions
- Optimize and enhance existing ABAP code to improve system performance and efficiency
- Provide technical support and expertise to resolve production issues and implement necessary fixes or enhancements
- Work closely with functional consultants, basis administrators, and other team members to ensure seamless integration and smooth functioning of SAP systems
- As an SAP ABAB Technician Consultant, you will stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and trends, and proactively propose innovative solutions and best practices to enhance system capabilities and processes
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to junior team members and peers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system upgrades, migrations, and other SAP-related projects
- Document technical specifications, system configurations, and development activities for future reference
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Technical Consultant
- Strong expertise in ABAP programming language, including ABAP Objects, WebDynpro, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms
- Proficient in SAP development tools such as ABAP Workbench, ABAP Data Dictionary, and ABAP Debugger
- Extensive experience in developing and enhancing custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and conversions (RICEFW objects)
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules and integration points, such as FI/CO, SD, MM, and HR
- Solid understanding of SAP application architecture and best practices for ABAP development
- Proven ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- SAP ABAP certification is preferred but not mandatory
- Experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, or other SAP front-end technologies is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
