Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a Scrum Master. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate Scrum Events:
- Plan and conduct all Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Assist the team in achieving their commitments by facilitating an environment that allows for high performance, and continuous improvement
- Ensure the development team is focused on their tasks and not distracted by external issues
- Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed and prioritized
- Ensure the team understands the backlog items and their requirements
- Proactively identify and remove impediments or obstacles that hinder the team's progress
- Escalate issues that cannot be resolved within the team to higher management as needed
- Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement within the team through regular retrospectives and actionable feedback
- Implement best practices and recommend process improvements
- Track and report on key metrics related to team performance and progress
- Utilize Azure DevOps for tracking work items, managing sprints, and generating reports
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing transparency into the team's work and progress
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with the team's objectives
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master working with development teams
- Proven experience with Azure DevOps, including work item tracking, sprint management, and reporting
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and best practices
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate solutions
