Application Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Application Administrator in Coral Gables, FL.

Summary:
The Application Administrator handles a wide variety of situations and conflicts, which are not able or do not need to go to the Management Level. The primary responsibility is User support and functionality troubleshooting for assigned systems. The administrator is also responsible for systems maintenance and availability as well as new systems implementation.

Responsibilities include the following but is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, performance standards or requirement efforts, skills, or working conditions associated with the job; Management reserves the right to revise the job or to require that other or different tasks be performed when circumstances change (i.e., emergencies, rush jobs, change in workload, or technological developments):
* Maintains systems current and with appropriate patch levels
* Configure, monitor, and test system back-ups
* Configure, maintain, and monitor databases, including security settings and access controls
* Provide support for internal customers
* Main point of contact to vendor support
* Keeps up with changes in user and system software and hardware requirements and updates the operating system
* Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
* Act as a Project Manager for new software/application implementations coordinating users, technicians, and vendors, negotiating with vendors and suppliers, distributing responsibilities among the team, and following up on tasks
* Provides information to internal audit and examiners and takes corrective action whenever necessary
* Stays current with company regulations basic principles and procedures

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor of Science or Administration degree in Technology or equivalent, with a proven track record and relevant diversified experience in the field of Information Technology
* Minimum 5 years of 'hands-on' experience in Information Technology
* Knowledge in theory, principle, and practices of computer operations, networking, communications, computer hardware, and software
* Expertise on configuring and managing banking applications
* Banking and bank operations experience
* Must be detail oriented with good organization, verbal, and people skills, service-oriented and a team player
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Good interpersonal and organizational skills
* Proficient in all aspects of technology in use in the bank
* Must possess the ability to take initiative and demonstrate dedication and conscientiousness toward responsibilities
* Maintains a positive attitude and flexibility toward new assignments
* Experience with Jack Henry and Associates application suite is a plus
* Experience with Q2 ebanking system a plus
* Language Skills: Speak, read, and write English; Portuguese and Spanish are a plus
