Lead Mobile App Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Costa Mesa, CA that is seeking a Lead Mobile App Developer.

Responsibilities:
* The Lead Mobile App Developer will get involved in new product development projects that require or may benefit from mobile applications
* Providing technical leadership for in-house and offshore mobile application development contractors
* Come up to speed on a handful of existing Apache Cordova mobile app
* Provide a technical assessment and prioritized recommendations to resolve any issues that may exist
* Work with engineering SMEs to ensure understanding of hardware and firmware protocols, mechanics and use-cases to optimize User Experience
* Collaborate with UI/UX Designers to optimize wireframe models
* As a Lead Mobile App Developer, you will translate wireframe models to optimum user interface implementations
* Collaborate with back-end developers to deliver well-architected and high-quality solutions
* Tune applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience
* Write clean, well-documented code alongside other team members
* Ensure all code is readable, testable and that technical debt is constantly evaluated and iteratively eliminated
* Provide technical leadership for offshore mobile application development contractors
* The Lead Mobile App Developer will develop simple POCs to guide the team in complex technical areas or explore and experiment with new technologies/ideas

REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be a self-starter who can work independently with a minimum amount of supervision as well as contribute to a team environment
* Ability to lead projects and offshore contractors, preferably following an Agile Software development framework like Scrum
* Extensive knowledge of mobile application development, including publishing to the Apple App store
* Deep knowledge of iOS and working knowledge of Android. Understanding of mobile app design guidelines on each platform and being aware of their differences
* Strong knowledge of architectural patterns-MVP, MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture-and the ability to choose the best solution
* Proficiency in ReactNative and JSON
* Familiarity with Unity and its 3D animation as well as other game engine/framework elements

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
