RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a POS QA in Pleasanton, CA.
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manual/Automation QA Tester with extensive experience in retail Point of Sale (POS) systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing test cases and scenarios that simulate real-life usage of the POS system. They will work closely with development and product teams to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the smooth functioning of our retail operations.
Responsibilities:
* POS QA will develop test cases and scenarios that mimic real-life usage of the POS system
* Execute test cases and document findings using issue tracking software
* Identify and isolate issues or bugs, and independently reproduce them
* Communicate with other teams, such as development and product, to understand system requirements and potential issues
* As a POS QA, you will participate in regular scrum meetings to provide updates on testing progress
* Help maintain an organized test environment and keep testing data up to date
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7 years of experience as a Manual/Automation QA tester
* 3 years of experience specifically with retail POS systems
* Experience creating and executing test cases, as well as assisting in the creation of test plans
* Experience working with multiple databases such as DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, POSTGRES
* Experience with application testing in an enterprise-level environment
* Experience with POS Automation is advantageous
* Basic hardware, software, and networking knowledge
* Automation skills using Shell scripts/Python are beneficial
* Good understanding of Enterprise Data movements using MQ, MIM applications
* Familiarity with Linux and Unix commands
* Ability to analyze data and application problems and quickly determine root cause
* Strongly preferred: Experience with Toshiba/IBM POS systems
* Experience with Retail testing including order management, inventory management, data management, and data analytics areas is a plus
* Proficiency in SQL, able to write basic queries based on test data requirements is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
