RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Cranberry Township, PA that is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.
Responsibilities:
* The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will create test suites, test cases, and test scripts
* Execute SQA test plans for software teams
* Engage with development leads and technical stakeholders to gain consensus in a cross-functional team setting
* Execute test plans for periodic software release hardening periods
* Assist in managing shared virtual and physical testing environments
* Identify process and quality gaps and formulate correction strategies
* Drive team performance against defined quality goals
* Work with the appropriate continuous integration and production build processes and environments
* As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, this role will support Product Owners and Product Leads to understand and handle customer issues, support issues, escalations and apply learnings in test practices and processes
* Works within scrum software development team to build product deliverables based on overall architecture direction
* Works within scrum software development team with guidance from an Agile Product Owner to drive the creation of project stories
* Create functional, and integration testing environment or components and root cause analyses (replicate, debug) for moderate to complex features
* Creates the test case suites and helps maintain the test case pool
* Identifies high risk test areas during design and development
* Executes functional, system, integration, and regression tests
* Promotes User Story quality so that each story meets the definition of ready/done and promotes quality practices in the team
* Works with the team to continuously improve in development quality practices and process
* The Software Quality Assurance Engineer troubleshoots complex problems with existing or newly developed software
REQUIREMENTS:
* Associate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics or other engineering field
* Minimum of 1 years of engineering experience
* Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience creating and executing functional test plans in a software-with-hardware environment
* Expert knowledge of Agile development process
* Ability to work with minimal supervision while remaining on-task and deadline oriented
* Knowledge of SQL for gathering test results
* Own the successful delivery of your quality roadmap, and co-own the overall product's success
* Demonstrate functional testing experience to significantly improve product quality
* Experience with test plans development and execution
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
