Senior Infrastructure Build Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Build Engineer in Austin, TX.

Roles and Responsibilities:Scope Planning and Coordination:

• Plan and develop Infra build plans, schedules, and budgets
• Direct and coordinate with the project team members to establish project objectives, deliverables, and timelines
• Collaborate with the design team, architects, and engineers to review plans, specifications, and drawings
• Identify and address potential project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution
• Forecast turnover tasks with QA & Commissioning teams for to complete project life cycles

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain build documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports
• Document project activities, site conditions, and quality control procedures
• Generate regular status reports and updates for project stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, local authorities, and industry standards

Data Center Build Engineer Execution:

• Oversee and monitor the build temporary staging and construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, including procurement of materials and equipment
• Ensure work is performed according to safety guidelines and quality standards
• Resolve build-related issues and provide technical guidance to the project team

Cost Control and Budgeting:

• Assist in monitoring project costs and expenses, comparing actuals against the budget
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest value engineering alternatives
• Track and review subcontractor invoices and change orders
• Participate in project budget reviews and forecasting activities

REQUIREMENTS:

• Formal Education in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 5 years of experience in commercial Data Center Greenfield, infra build management, or engineering
• Strong knowledge of Datacenter Build practices, codes, regulations, and safety protocols
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proven track record of handling hybrid IT Build projects

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
