What are the responsibilities and job description for the OSP Training Program Manager position at KGPCo?
SUMMARY: The OSP Training Program Manager will identify training needs, develop training curricula, as well as implement and support training initiatives for the OSP business unit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned:
- Collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of serving as a contact and resource in identifying employee training needs.
- Develop overall training program, including online coursework, in person training, skill evaluation, and follow-up.
- Create training courses and curricula, including online courses or in person training to meet identified training needs.
- Research new information and tools to innovate and improve content and implementation of training.
- Coordinate with operations to plan, organize, and schedule employee trainings.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training curricula and activities in addressing training objectives.
- Identify and assist in the development of new processes to support continuous improvement for both operations and training.
- Assist employees in optimal utilization of all software tools and provide technical assistance during implementation of all new tools.
- Monitor training costs for the purpose of ensuring services are provided in compliance with department objectives and guidelines.
- Ensure effective transfer of information learned in training to the work environment.
- Ensure curricula is mindful of waste:
Overproduction – more than customer needs or is willing to pay for (qty)
Deviations from standards and/or regulations
Transportation of things – either physical or electronic
Downtime or waiting due to upstream process
Inventory or human resources on hand
Motion – worksite set up
Processing – producing higher quality than required
Under-utilized talent
- Be an ambassador of KGP Services to all parties, internal and external.
- Performs other duties as requested by Manager
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of field construction or trade experience
- Ability to build relationships and influence all levels of an organization including internal stakeholders, industry colleagues, and candidates
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and decision-making abilities
- Strong critical thinking and effective project management skills; organized with excellent time management capability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs/software
