JOB TITLE: Director of Rotations
SUPERVISOR: Reports to Assistant Dean for Clinical Education

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Clinical Education, the Director of Rotations will provide a high level of independent management and oversight for clinical rotations for OMS-3 and OMS-4 medical students. The position is responsible for records management, contractual preceptor and clinical site agreements, and coordination of student rotation experiences.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule, and manage clinical rotations for KansasCOM students.
- Maintain availability for student communication to advise and address questions and/or concerns regarding their clinical rotation schedule.
- Actively work to resolve student difficulties according to KansasCOM policies, procedures, and the Student Handbook.
- Coordinate student records (TB testing, vaccine requirements, drug testing, etc.) and ensure that all clinical site requirements are met.
- Coordinate and schedule OSCEs and other requirements of each rotation.
- Schedule COMAT examinations at the end of each core rotation.
- Monitor the status of end of rotation testing/evaluations and inform Clerkship Directors and Assistant Dean for Clinical Education of delinquent or unsatisfactory evaluations or grades.
- Work efficiently with preceptors and site coordinators at each location to ensure that all student scheduling and educational needs are met.
- Respond to needs of Clerkship Directors as appropriate.
- Manage all aspects of the clinical preceptor and site affiliation agreements.
- Coordinate payments of core sites and preceptors.
- Coordinate with the Assistant Dean for Clinical Education with various administrative and reporting duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will be responsible for training and oversight for a team of clinical rotation staff and coordinators (once hired).
QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- One to three years of experience in a formal education department, business, or professional office preferred.
- Preference is given to candidates with advanced organizational skills, project management experience, and advanced training in Microsoft Suite and eValue.

- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
- Must possess advanced knowledge/skills with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet tools, and applications.
