HP - Material Handler - Glue Up Temporary to Possible Full Time

Temporary to Possible Full Time - Glue Up Department/Material Handling & additional duties as needed.   $16.50 per hour  Individual is responsible for ensuring glue is sprayed on foam/frames. Edges must be even. Excess glue must be removed from parts of the furniture which will show on the finished product.Individual will retrieve frames, foam, etc. from storage locations. Frames/foam/etc. will be issued to each Gluer. Must have excellent retention of detail, be a self-starter and able to work with diverse backgrounds and multiple personalities. Position requires consistent heavy lifting (75 pounds). Must be available to work mandatory overtime on Saturdays' during May through September (during peak season)  Spray glue to parts in accordance with the customers specifications: ·         Able to spray glue with spray gun ·         Able to remove excess foam or cut edges ·         Able to apply foam to wood part or foam and ensure a correct fit ·         Read and comprehend the instructions on the tickets to ensure that the appropriate parts are utilized ·         Able to recognize the various stains and parts necessary for subassembly ·         Weight of parts/subassemblies vary. Must be able to lift a minimum of 5 to 75 pounds. ·         Must comply with production standard ·         Must adhere to all safety rules and regulations ·         Must be available to work overtime with a minimum of notice Material handling ·         Identify and Locate parts and retain information ·         Able to read and interpret shop tickets ·         Able to lift parts of varying weights ·         Ability to retain to memory the various styles ·         Coordinate with Team Leaders to determine what is to be issued to each Gluer to ensure that production needs are met ·         Ensure Gluers have work at all times. Additional Duties ·         Able to operate cushion stuffing machine ·         Maintain communication with Team Leaders, Production Coordinators and peers ·         Able to use air tools such as Cushion Stuffing machine, drills, etc ·         Assemble packets or sub-assemblies as needed ·         Able to tear down furniture when needed Ensure quality: ·         Ensure that the glued parts meets requirements ·         Ensure all Technicians are aware of Quality Policy and ISO standards   Maintain a clean and orderly workplace: ·         Clean area on a daily basis ·         Ensure that the spray gun is properly stored nightly ·         Return tools to proper storage area ·         Remove and replace glue booth filters to ensure proper air circulation ·         Ensure Glue booths and glue guns receive regular maintenance/cleaning Cross train: ·         Assist with other tasks or in other departments
