JOB SUMMARY

The Training and Compliance Supervisor is responsible for organizing, implementing, and supervising the Life Essentials and Character Essentials curricula, as well, training new and current hires on all Minimum Standards and KA policies/procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws, as well as all Kiddie Academy® standard operating procedures.

Actively communicates with Kiddie Academy’s Director and Assistant Director.

Assists in completing and submitting required paperwork and record keeping on a timely basis, and maintaining in an organized, up-to-date manner.

Takes an active role in planning and participating in academy activities (staff meetings, training sessions, open houses, classroom parties, events, pre-k graduation).

Assists staff with tri-annual assessments; ensuring that each child receives an assessment and that parent/teacher conferences are organized.

Develops and maintains positive, professional working relationship with academy staff.

Assists in daily supervision of staff; keeps director apprised of staff concerns and situations needing attention; provides performance appraisal input to director.

Assist and approve curriculum materials/supplies.

Maintains the upkeep of the supply closet and ensures it is properly equipped.

Attends leadership meetings, trainings and conferences.

Develops a strong working knowledge of Kiddie Academy® Philosophy, Mission, Core Values

Assist in the resolution of curriculum and classroom management issues.

Assist in scheduling and conducting curriculum and classroom management trainings for teachers.

Monitors KARES for latest curriculum news.

Helps ensure that quality control of programs is sound and meets state and Kiddie Academy® requirements. Provides feedback to director on quality control issues and assists in resolving quality control issues. (lesson plan activities meet standards).

Conducts walk-throughs and shares observations of classrooms to director.

Provides guidance to the teachers, to the extent necessary, to complete lesson plan activities, room arrangements, assistance in following classroom schedules and classroom management.

Ensure all classrooms are properly labeled and decorated according to Kiddie Academy and the States’ standards (shelves, centers, classroom décor, etc).

Assist in answering phones when necessary.

Responsible for completing at least 24 clock hours of approved continued training during the licensing year.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain and submit a weekly licensing/curriculum/training report.

Ensures Tadpoles is completed and properly filled out daily.

Performs other similar or related duties as necessary.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate must have 5 years’ experience working in a childcare center.

Candidate must meet state minimum requirements for education and experience.

Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high.
