Job Description |
CAMPUS MONITORING ● Supervising students in a variety of settings including cafeteria, recess, hallways, and classrooms. ● Evaluate and provide minor first aid to students. ● Work in connection with the behavior team ○ Provide redirection to students regarding safety, compliance, and education. ○ Maintain a safe environment for students at all times. ○ Assign discipline with routines and procedures established by the school administration and behavior team. ○ Documenting and submitting "Expectation Checks" in a timely manner. ● Support other positions as needed. ● Perform other related duties as assigned. ● COMMUNICATION AND DEBRIEFINGS ● Communicate and debrief with staff effectively. ○ Attend relevant meetings and training as assigned. ● Daily check-ins with the department supervisor/team. GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND SAFETY ● Daily upkeep and cleaning of school/ equipment as needed . ● Follow safety regulations, policies, and procedures. ● Actively contribute towards promoting a safe workplace & environment. MINOR RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Cooperate with law enforcement agencies that may investigate thefts, accidents, and complaints. ● Keep supervisor informed of safety conditions around campus. REQUIRED JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: Experience working with young children aged 5-13 years preferred. Certification or Accreditation: CPR/First Aid Certification Essential Skills: Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and basic computer knowledge. Able to organize and self-motivate. Essential Mental Abilities: Must be organized, flexible and resolution oriented. Ability to multitask, make sound judgments and demonstrate appropriate role modeling. Ability to always maintain full and complete attention to children. Ability to work as a team member and to be self-directed. Essential Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs. Ability to push/pull up to 35 lbs. Sufficient mobility and range of motion to perform repetitive standing, walking, balancing, stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, sitting on the floor, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting for up to 8 hours per day. Enough stamina to perform job duties at frequency required. Ability to react quickly to the physical actions of children.
