What are the responsibilities and job description for the TEACHER position at KidsPeace?
Join our Team! KidsPeace National Centers of New England has an immediate opening for a Special Education Teacher K-12 to work at it's Millinocket School. The teacher will design and deliver instructional systems and does so in a therapeutically appropriate manner. Focus on curriculum as mandated by Maine State Standards. Manages the classroom in such a way as to maintain an educational atmosphere. Responsible for writing Individual Education Plans (IEP), report cards, and all necessary paperwork associated. Supervises and supports the classroom education technician(s).
**SIGN-ON BONUS: $3,000 for full-time employees!**
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Current 282 Special Education Certification, or eligible for endorsement
- Fingerprinting Certification (CHRC)
