District Overview
Northern California
Kiewit’s Northern California District is one of Kiewit’s leading infrastructure districts specializing in various types of work in the heavy civil, power, transportation, and water resource markets. Although most of our work is regionally based in Northern California, we also pursue various projects across the west coast. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry rather than design.

Responsibilities
- Perform document control duties in project site office as assigned with supervision.
- Contribute to a team responsible for document flow and distribution at a job site.
- Gathering all information needed for input into Daily Report.
- Answering phone calls to the office.
- General Office duties
- May include inputting documents into SharePoint for project.
- Collect and log all contract documents and project documentation from bid phase through project completion.
- Reproduce, distribute, store and retrieve necessary documentation.
- Work closely with expediting team to log the receipt of electronic shop drawings, specifications and hard copy manuals.
- Stamp documents and drawings with project information
- Post changes and maintain computerized or manual control records and release documents notifying all affected departments as needed.
- Prepare requests for reproduction of documents, operate reproduction equipment and prepare reports and memorandums.
- Mail outgoing documents (i.e., UPS, Federal Express, and United Postal Service).
- Effectively communicate with suppliers via fax, e-mail and/or telephone.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, e-mail and Intranet
- Willing to perform a variety of tasks and learn new skills
- Basic knowledge of document control procedures, Prolog, and office equipment such as computers, copy machines, telephone systems, etc.
- Basic knowledge of filing and record retention systems
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
- Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
