Responsibilities
Leadership responsibilities include: operating with integrity and sound business principals; building and maintaining positive client relationships; partnering closely with clients; balancing managing complex projects/programs and working within integrated project teams in a non-leadership/management role; having open communication with team members and other staff; and serving as a subject-matter expert on some technical project delivery matters. Our Managers manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor both within the firm and within the industry overall. The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead and direct service to clients, to grow others, and to grow our business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- PE in Virginia (or can quickly obtain)
- Registered engineer with 10 or more years of experience in heavy and commuter rail projects
- AutoCAD/Microstation, AREMA standards, P6/Microsoft Project/other scheduling software, and project document control platforms experience
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization and with client organizations
- Ability to manage and mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
