Overview
Our Miami, FL office is looking for a Structural Engineer with at least 4 years of experience to join our Structures team!
Responsibilities
This position will support the growth of the firm in our building structures practices.
Candidates should have strong technical and analytical, detailing, communication and interpersonal skills and should be able to develop and maintain good relationships with coworkers, industry peers and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform structural design calculations, prepare project document submittal packages, and maintain Quality Control for the entire project
- Develop structural plans, details, and technical specifications
- Conduct site investigations and structural evaluations
- Document field observations and prepare technical reports
- Perform construction observation
- Support and participate in meetings and presentations with clients, owners, contractors, and design team members
- Contribute to identifying project opportunities through networking with new and existing clients
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- BS or MS degree in the field of Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) Certification or ability to obtain one in less than a year
- Minimum 4 year experience with structural design
- Knowledge and experience in AutoCAD and Revit with some ability to produce drawings and details, when needed
- Knowledge and experience in structural analysis and design software, such as RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, and other structural related design software
- Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlines
- Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of projects concurrently
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
- Positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
