9:30-5:45 Mon-Thurs; 7:30-3:30 Friday; 30 min break each day.

Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education and 5 years’ experience in a center setting OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education and 1 year experience in a center setting OR
Level 15 on The WI State Registry and 3 years’ experience in a center setting
Job Description
This leader will support all classroom educators; lead and assistant, to guide them to self-assess their practices, improve the instructional quality and find teachable moments in every moment throughout the day.
· Consider the needs, background and interest of each child
· Use positive guidance techniques
· Implement conversation while sitting at the table for all meal times
· Maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Handle all emergencies and injuries effectively and appropriately. Communicate all emergencies/injuries with parents through Brightwheel
· Understand and implement emergency procedures in case of fire, tornado or intruder emergencies.
· Can administer CPR, including carrying an injured child. Ergonomically lifts the child and asks for help if needed.
· Must be mentally and physically able to tend to unexpected situations.
· Must lift at least 50 pounds
· Must be able to bend and stoop to child’s level. Must be able to play and communicate with children, including but not limited to running, jumping, physical exercise.
· Must be able to stand up to 90% of the workday.
· Maintain professional conduct when working with parents, staff, visitors. Avoid unnecessary communication/gossip.
· Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families and staff.
· Maintain educational materials and equipment, repairing when possible
· Maintain a good rapport and working relationship with staff members including working your scheduled shift to ensure you are there to have a working relationship with staff
· Participate, or possibly lead, in all staff training sessions, meetings and programs as requested by the Director.
· Observe each classroom and report to the teachers any child’s individual or group behavior that might affect the well-being of the other children enrolled in the classroom.
· Willing to perform other duties to ensure a safe, healthy, nurturing environment for children and families, including but not limited to cleaning, cooking, driving and maintenance of building.
Key Activities
Curriculum
· Ensure the program selects a high-quality curriculum
· Collaborates with teaching staff in the development, writing and implementation of the curriculum
· Manage program implementation of the curriculum, including assessment tools and supplemental materials.
· Align program practices and standards to support quality implementation.
· Coordinate trainings and professional development on selected curriculum.
· Provide support to classroom teachers in creating lesson plans and follow up to ensure implementation of it.
Professional Development
· Work with staff to ensure the curriculum objectives align with Kind and Joyful’s standards
· Assist in organizing in-house staff development trainings
· Identify professional development opportunities offered by the state or other providers that align to teaching staff goals and needs.
Observation and Coaching
· Conduct regular observations in all classrooms and maintain records
· Conduct group reflective coaching to discuss observations and develop a plan to strengthen challenging areas and build on strengths.
School Wide Events
· Assist in organizing school wide events, such as, but not limited to:
o Winter Festival
o St Jude’s Trik a Thon
o Teacher Appreciation Week activities

· Able to physically respond quickly in an emergency
· Able to mentally respond in case of a building emergency
· Locks up the building properly at the end of the day when closing down building
· Understand the risk of exposure to bodily fluids and use universal precautions
· Able to drive a 15-passenger van as a back up to drivers and have a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years

Pay: $18.50 - $23.00 per hour
