Summary: Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and accuracy of crude oil measurement equipment in the assigned area which includes but not limited to flow computers, Coriolis meters, ultrasonic meters, automated ball proving systems, automated crude oil sample systems, SCADA equipment, regulators, and transducers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Install, inspect, test, adjust, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate crude oil measurement & control equipment, automated proving systems, automated crude oil sample systems, and SCADA equipment.
* Batch sample testing of crude oil "onsite".
* Detect problems with measurement equipment, sample system equipment, and prover system equipment making corrections to volumes as needed and provide supporting documentation.
* Monitor product volumes through the measurement system and ensure all volume and product quality corrections are applied correctly.
* Interpret and apply electrical and electronic schematics pertaining to oil measurement equipment.
* Assess all facets of assigned facilities to ensure accurate measurement and maintaining the product "lost and unaccounted for" with a high degree of ownership and within the established corporate goals.
* Perform audits of custody transfer and control data when necessary.
* Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as needed.
* Oversee the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third-parties.
* Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
* Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork.
* Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.
* Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
* Participate in regulatory inspections.
* Mentor fellow employees when the opportunity presents itself.
* Other daily, weekly, monthly or special project duties as identified and defined.
* Other related duties as assigned.

* Ability to perform basic mechanical work associated with site facilities.

* Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.

Education and/or Experience:
* Associate's degree in a technical field; Relevant work experience that has developed equivalent technical/measurement related skills may be considered in lieu of degree.
* Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications.
* Experience with crude oil measurement including but not limited to electronic flow measurement computers, crude oil automatic sampling equipment, SCADA equipment, electronic and pneumatic controllers, regulators, OPP and transducers.
* Working knowledge of the overall crude oil pipeline industry, pumps stations, and peripheral equipment.
* Working knowledge of API standards applicable to crude oil measurement.
* Working knowledge of National Electrical Code philosophies and installation requirements.
* Experience with computer interface software, networking, and data file management.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
* Valid state operating license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
* Completion of any site specific technical training.

* Uses physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment/tools.
* Climbs and works at various heights. May work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched or kneeling position.
* Routinely reacts to visual, aural and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work.
* Regularly bends, stoops, moves from ground level to higher levels, raises/lifts from ground level a load up to 50 lbs., manually transports a load up to 75 lbs., and applies up to 150 foot pounds of torque.
* Regularly gets into and out of vehicles and rides over rough roads.
* Walks an average of 5 miles per day, up to 7 miles per day.
* Candidates may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing requirements.
* Subject to overtime and call-outs.

* Works mostly outdoors, in and around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment.
* Required to climb about equipment and work in confined areas (i.e. tanks, between compressors, vessels).
* May be subject to work in hazardous conditions including hydrocarbon vapor, adverse weather conditions, and extreme temperatures.
* Wears safety equipment as required.
