Position Summary:The successful candidate will support the Measurement, Technical Services and Automation teams within the Engineering Services organization, part of Kinder Morgan’s Operations Support Group. Duties range from supporting and helping manage budgets to high-level administrative assistance to the Department Directors all in a prompt and efficient manner while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Primary Duties:- Manage Budget process each year, helping ensure both Capital and G & A budgets are accurately developed in a timely manner
- Manage/help support monthly financial process and collaborate with budget owners. Process includes monthly reporting of prior month variances, accruals at the account level, and informing budget owners on current month forecast figures
- Develop expertise in proprietary financial and business applications used to establish new charge accounts, process invoices, execute service/material requests and track/communicate all financials in the form of raw data and processed metrics.
- Prepare and review cost-tracking reports on a monthly basis as well as upon request of Directors.
- Research, analyze, recommend, and confirm corrections or changes to monthly forecasts and/or processes
- Formulate and implement departmental policies and procedures for budget, forecasting and financial related processes
- May include oversight and/or support dealing with Major Maintenance and Capital job numbers, AFEs, RFMs, RFSs, RFNs, Invoices, Low risk Agreements, Contracts, and expenditure authority limits. May also include cost projections, analysis, tracking, and related reports as well as entry of these types of data into various online software programs with accuracy.
- May include assisting various Department personnel with data input into IMPACT, PAWS 2, Lawson, CARS, ISN, or other internal software programs.
- May include assisting Department personnel with completing forms, Word documents, Spreadsheets, or other duties as assigned.
- May support various high level Administrative functions
- Compile weekly and monthly status reports to update leadership on priority events
- Coordinate Team (virtual and/or face-to-face) meetings plan logistics and attendance, for various groups/committees – i.e. Safety Committee.
- Help with new employee orientation and onboarding
- Reconcile Purchasing card charges monthly.
- Arrange travel and accommodations mindful of preferences; reconcile and prepare accurate expense reports

Position Requirements
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma with 3-5 years’ experience in an administrative or coordinator role.
- Two (2) year degree in Business Administration or Business related discipline strongly preferred.
- Strong computer skills - expected proficiency in MS Office and ability to quickly learn proprietary applications. With advanced Excel skills such as data manipulation and analysis with pivot tables and pivot reports, efficiency-based Macro development and data presentation through use of charts.
- Must possess strong analytical skills. Office management skills are a plus.
- Must be able to very quickly learn and adapt to Kinder Morgan Tools/Applications which support the duties listed above
- Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily work and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Must be able to communicate and work cooperatively with various levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors to resolve issues while adhering to deadlines.
- Must be flexible and possess ability to set priorities and coordinate multiple projects with good judgment and discretion.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Must be accountable and take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
