Summary of Position
The Business Development Director for Kindeva Drug Delivery (KDD) will be based in the U.S. and work cross-functionally to lead business development strategy and execution of customer and market growth opportunities across the KDD inhalation platform of products and services.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with strategic marketing for effective identification of new customers and development of new business opportunities
- Conduct and support business development analysis, i.e., establishing business and financial terms for licensing, product development and commercial supply opportunities
- Support development of business strategy, core and adjacent market opportunity analysis, new technology assessment
- Communicate KDD technology offerings, services and value propositions, convincing potential Pharma and Biotech companies to select KDD as their outsourced product manufacturing or product development partner of choice
- Lead negotiations for feasibility, development, licensing, and commercialization agreements across all KDD platforms (primarily inhalation drug delivery)
- Work with other Global Business Development Directors to ensure customer deals are aligned with strategies and operational priorities
- Provide support to acquisition and technology in/out-licensing activities that support business strategy
Key Working Relationships
This role must maintain strong cross-functional relationships with customers, partners, and internal business leaders and employees across the global KDD enterprise.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, business development, key account management
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to interface with customers, internal business partners, management and outside vendors.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Health Care Industry experience with five (5) or more years’ experience in an FDA regulated industry
- Five (5) or more years of experience as part of a business development function within a corporation or investment bank or strategic consulting firm negotiating pharma transactions / deals
- Technical aptitude for pharmaceutical drug delivery combination products and services
- Superior quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modeling and analysis
Travel: Up to 40%
