What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bakery Associate position at King Orchards, Inc?
Bakery position for King Orchards, a multi-faceted family farm business. King Orchards engages in agri-tourism and retail activities, along with a line of processed fruit products that are marketed around the world. This is an opportunity to work in the retail bakery making pies, pastries, bread and fruit jam. This position is seasonal (June – October). King Orchards is looking for engaged, enthusiastic and responsible people to add to our team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods such as cookies, bread, pies, etc.
- Managing quality control of the good being produced
- Packaging and labeling products
- Managing inventories and forecast needs for products
- Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift
Work Hours:
- This is an early morning shift, typically starting before 6am and ending before noon.
- 20-40 hours, depending on both parties agreed upon arrangement. Any regular scheduled days will be considered.
- The ideal candidate would be available to work a variety of hours, which include early mornings, weekends and holidays.
No prior baking experience required, we will provide training.
