What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Director position at Kingdom One?
Kingdom One is partnered with Alhambra True Light Presbyterian Church located in Alhambra, CA. This church is looking to grow their team by adding a Youth Director.
Vision for this role
The Youth Director will help develop youth to become followers of Christ who love God and love others. The Youth Director will be a shepherd to the youth ministries, from 6th grade through college, by overseeing, leading and equipping. The Youth Director will minister to and develop relationships with the parents who speak English and to all of the youth.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is energetic and passionate - can’t get enough of Student Ministries.
- Has cross-cultural training and experience.
- Can speak Mandarin, Cantonese or both, desired but not required.
- Is highly relational and is warm and engaging.
- Is comfortable leading and growing a great students program that focuses on discipleship.
- Isn’t afraid to navigate conflict with students and parents.
- Is ready to recruit, train and equip a team of volunteers.
- Has the ability to plan, administrate, delegate and supervise.
- Has experience in a Student Ministries position.
What you’ll do:
- Provide and care for the youth ministry including the youth, volunteer staff and parents by creating a sense of community. Communicate in person, by phone, text, email, all-church communications, flyers, social media, videos and Zoom.
- Plan, develop, and implement aspects of a balanced student ministry.
- Recruit, equip, and support volunteer small group leaders.
- Manage the budget and expenses of the department. Provide monthly reports as required by the Lead Pastor.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

- Alhambra, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
