Description
The Center Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of school management – delivery, budget, staff and facilities and the school’s administration, programs, and strategic plan. The Center Director must be able to multi-task the day-to-day responsibilities and develop long-term financial sustainability.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Build and maintain relationships: Works with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, to fulfill the organization's mission.
- Maintain an environment conducive to learning and working collaboratively.
- Responsible for leading, supporting, and guiding the organization's mission.
- Responsible for communicating effectively and providing, promptly and accurately, all information necessary to make informed decisions.
- Lead and participate in regular committees that contribute to the program at a national level.
- Effectively execute policies that support the business needs of the program while achieving academic quality that is second to none.
2) Financial Performance and Viability: Oversee budget responsibilities and maintain the overall financial viability of the center.
Responsible for the fiscal integrity of the Center to effectively reflect the desired results
- Responsible for the fiscal management of the center, which includes operating within the parameters of annually approved budget and ensuring the achievement of key performance metrics.
- Responsible for developing local student enrollment initiatives leading to successful recruitment targets.
3) Mission and Strategy: Ensure that programs, strategic planning, and community outreach are consistently reviewed, analyzed, and implemented in accordance with the mission.
- Responsible for actively engaging and being visible in the community and collaborating with other professionals.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of services provided by the center.
4) Operations: Oversees the resources necessary to ensure that the operations are efficient and effective.
- Responsible for the effective administration of the school operations.
- Responsible for the hiring and retention of competent, qualified staff.
- Oversee local compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
- Oversee facility and technology resources and operations.
- Responsible for executing all documents, including agreements made and entered into and on behalf of the school.
- Incorporate, develop, and enhance the use of technology as a defining qualitative element of the program.
Requirements
Professional Qualifications:
- Proven Track Record in Building and managing effective teams to successful outcomes
- A bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred
- Transparent and high integrity leadership
- Five or more years of senior management experience
- Experience working with international students
- Experience working in a higher education environment and/or Intensive English Program
- Solid, hands-on budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, and reporting
- Strong organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation
- Skills to collaborate with and motivate staff and teachers
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff in a positive, constructive manner
