What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Content Creator position at Kingsmill Resort?
Responsibilities:
1. Develop engaging and creative content for Kingsmill Resort’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Some nights, weekends & holidays would be required to capture content at special events.
2. Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and execute digital advertising campaigns to promote resort amenities, membership, special offers, and events.
3. Create visually appealing graphics, photos, videos, and written content that align with the brand’s voice and messaging.
4. Monitor social media channels to engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster community interaction.
5. Stay updated on social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to optimize content performance and maximize reach.
6. Analyze social media and advertising metrics to track campaign effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and provide insights for future content strategies.
7. Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to gather content, testimonials, and user-generated material for use in digital marketing initiatives.
8. Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent posting schedules and timely delivery of campaigns.
9. Assist in the creation and execution of influencer partnerships and collaborations to expand the resort’s online presence.
10. Contribute to brainstorming sessions and creative ideation for new digital content initiatives and campaigns.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field.
2. Proven experience in digital content creation, email marketing, social media management, and digital advertising, preferably within the hospitality or travel industry.
3. Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite & Canva), photography, and video editing tools.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
5. Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
6. Knowledge of social media analytics platforms (e.g., Facebook Insights, Instagram Insights, Google Analytics) to track performance and inform content strategy.
7. Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and visual aesthetics.
8. Familiarity with SEO principles and practices is a plus.
9. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to contribute to various aspects of digital marketing as needed.
10. Located in or willing to relocate to the Williamsburg, Virginia area.
