We are looking to add an Equipment Operator to our Team in Mt. Eaton, OH and the surrounding areas.
Position Description/Essential Functions
- Competently operates company vehicles/heavy motor equipment for all paving, maintenance, and repair projects; all other related work as required. Regular use of heavy/light trucks and heavy equipment. Frequent professional interaction with clients, company personnel, contractors, civilians, and public authorities. Use of mobile technology for job documentation. Smart phone required.
Equipment frequently operated to perform duties may include:
- CAT 289 track loader with a variety of attachments
- CAT 306 mini excavator
- MACK CV713 single axle dump truck with tandem trailer
Working Environment
- Most of the work is performed outdoors with exposure to weather extremes of heat and cold temperatures and subject to the hazards associated with roadway construction, paving, and working with/around vehicles, equipment, and tools. Frequent exposure to loud noise.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school education or G.E.D.
- 3-5 years related experience operating skid steer, excavator, and/or dozer
- Knowledge of field safety procedures
- Ability to communicate honestly, effectively, and follow instruction
- Skill in heavy equipment operation and grading
Preferred Qualifications
- Class A or Class B CDL
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
