Job Description

KIOXIA America Inc is looking for an ASIC Verification Engineer for our San Jose, CA or Folsom, CA office. The ideal candidate will work in KIOXIA’s exciting global team for RTL verification of next generation of Datacenter PCIe/NVMe SSD (Solid State Storage) SOCs.

As a key member of the Storage Research and Design Center SoC development team, the candidate will be part of verification team responsible for RTL verification of SSD Controllers. The candidate will work very closely with architects and designers to develop reusable UVM testbench and verification environment by deploying the latest methodologies in coverage driven verification. Throughout the SoC development phase, the candidate will work closely with design, verification, validation and FW teams in developing the controller and resolve functional issues.

Responsibilities:

• Understand details of RTL microarchitecture at block/chip-level design
• Definition of the verification testplan in collaboration with designers and architects
• Development of UVM testbench including integration of the verification IPs
• Develop directed and random test suites to achieve functional verification of the design
• Implementation of code and functional coverage metrics, analyze gaps and improve coverage
• Debug of failures, tracking through JIRA, handling regressions using Jenkins
• Work closely with validation engineers to resolve failures seen on emulation platforms

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the following domains
• Hands on experience doing module and SOC level verification using UVM and System Verilog
• Must have verified DRAM sub-systems with deep knowledge in DDR, LPDDR or HBM technologies
• Working knowledge of industry standard VIPs – PCIe, DDR, AXI etc
• Excellent working knowledge of AXI bus and protocols
• Excellent working knowledge of ARM CPUs
• Experience writing scripts in languages such as Perl or Python
• Experience working with storage host protocols is a plus

Education:

• BSEE or MSEE in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
