Pay:                                              $80,000- $110,000

Program Details:

This position is in support of sustainment and modification of the United States Air Force (USAF) Electronic Technical Information Management System (ETIMS) program.   ETIMS is the Air Force System of Record for Technical Order (TO) management and is the Air Force’s Enterprise Defense Business System (DBS) for managing TOs.  TOs are military orders containing the authoritative procedures and instructions for operating and maintaining all U.S. Department of the Air Force equipment and systems. 

 ETIMS supports ~178,000 users at ~385 sites worldwide. It also supports ~60,000 eTOs, 54,000 ETIMS eTools, 14,000 paper TOs, and more than 13,000 TO libraries across the Air Force Enterprise.  Agencies that rely on ETIMS for Air Force-related TOs and Computer Program Identification Numbers (CPINs) include the Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), The White House, and numerous Military Industrial Complex partners.  ETIMS provides access to the official TO cataloging, managing, storing, distributing, and viewing capabilities needed by the operators and maintainers to support all Air Force weapon systems and equipment items.

The ETIMS migration to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Air Force Cloud 1 environment and leveraging Agile Principles allows for processes to mature across the user community and enables streamlining and process improvement realized by the rapid delivery of follow-on capabilities.  ETIMS has been modernized over the years to provide a fully capable Air Force enterprise TO Management system. 

The Government Program Office is located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.   The development and support team are geographically dispersed and teleworking our daily working protocol.    

Scope of Work:

ETIMS is the USAF system for managing TOs and CPINs as well as for electronic viewing of TOs.  It is a Cloud based enterprise system hosting the Java and Windows. Net applications accessing Oracle database in the AWS environment.  The Cloud Engineer supports sustainment and modification of ETIMS application running in AWS Cloud Environment. This successful candidate will have the ability to deploy and support applications in the AWS Cloud environment utilizing Ansible Jenkins to build and deploy the release.  The Cloud Engineer must work with the application in the Cloud environment to include supporting deployment optimizations, scanning and working with monitoring tools.    

Responsibilities:

• Support the build/release of applications and management of application in AWS Cloud Infrastructure 
• Perform Cloud release deployment activities as required
• Monitor application in Cloud
• Execute recommended infrastructure optimizations
• Analyze performance scan and performance anomalies
• Management/Administration of Oracle Database 
• Perform data migration activities
• Perform data cleanup activities
• Develop and execute stored procedures
• Perform test activities as required 
• Working with third-party vendors (Air Force Cloud 1, AWS, other support Contractors, etc.) as required

Minimum Requirements:

• BS in Engineering, Software, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent AWS certifications and experience
• 2 years’ experience performing Dev/Sec/Ops within AWS Cloud Infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Cloud Infrastructure and designing and building web environments
• Must be able to obtain 8570 certification (Security ) within 30 days of employment
• Working experience with Jenkins, Jenkins pipeline Groovy and Unix shell script
• Working experience with Elastic Beanstalk- handles the deployment details, capacity planning, scaling, load balance, system health monitoring 
• Working experience with Ansible scripts running in Jenkins automated build process
• Working experience with CloudWatch
• You must be a US citizen to quality for this position.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) programs and requirements 
• Knowledge and proficiency with different programming languages such as C#, .Net, and/or Java
• Experience configuring NGINX as a reverse proxy server
• Working experience with Glassfish-app server
• Experience working with Artifactory
• Experience building docker images and deploying images to Artifactory
• Experience with administration of Oracle database

• Agile Development/Scrum Processes
