Rentals CoordinatorPosition Purpose
Responsible for the day-to-day handling of rental calls and coordinating equipment rentals according to specific guidelines and procedures.
Rentals Coordinator Essential Functions
- Answer telephone and in-person requests for equipment rental using high-level customer service skills
- Initiate rental contracts
- Complete all associated paperwork appropriately and timely, ensuring all appropriate charges are billed to customers according to company policies and procedures
- Oversee rentalpersonnel and their functions (yard and detail technicians) and assign daily activities as needed to maximize department efficiency
- Schedule equipment delivery, training, and pick up of rental equipment through company drivers or outside contract transport services
- Ensure equipment is properly serviced and prepared for rentals by effectively working with the service dept
- Monitor repairs and ensure all paperwork is complete, accurate, and timely
- Monitor and track rental equipment inventory
- Prepare reports as needed to make suggestions or recommendations to the rental manager; bring observed problems or issues to the attention of the rental manager and present suggestionsand solutions to resolve the problem, if possible
- Assist sales staff with rental issues as needed
- Act on additional requests by management as needed
Rentals Coordinator Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Two (2) years ofheavy construction equipment or comparable job experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications
- Proficientin basic math
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
