Summary/Objective:
Experienced Drafter/CAD Operator performing technical drafting support for assigned projects under general supervision. Performs work as assigned from sketches, verbal instructions, and notes. Prepares engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information (verbal instructions and notes) using CADD software programs and according to established standards and procedures. Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings and completes simple calculations with specific instructions. Has a working knowledge of engineering technology in a specific field. May establish and maintain schedules.

- Ability to work independently or with minimal instruction.
- Understands and follows the company’s standard CADD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
- Prepares engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information (verbal instructions and notes) using CADD software programs.
- Maintains schedules and offers progress reports.
- Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings and completes simple calculations with specific instructions.
- Notes computer problems for CADD Supervisor.
- Receives medium level of supervision and direction is required.

- Travel is not anticipated for this position, but some travel less than 5% may be requested for training or job specific tasks.
