Job Summary
The Private Lesson Sales Lead is responsible for providing support in regard to reservations, sales, and fulfillment of Kirkwood’s premier Private Ski & Board School. This is a small and tight knit department that works closely as a team to help create the Experience of a Lifetime for our guest. As a Lead, you will receive a high level of guest interaction and will be the face of our Adventure, Guiding, and Learning center! We are looking for a guest service oriented individual who is positive, outgoing, operates with a high level of computer proficiency and attention to detail, is well disciplined, takes pride in their work and has a true passion for the outdoors.

Job Responsibilities

Provide the direct connection between the Private Supervisor and the SRS sales team, working with the Supervisor to support the coordination of daily private lesson logistics by accurately selling lessons, assigning lessons to instructors and communicating bookings and schedule changes to instructors.
- Be the direct cover for the Private Supervisor responsibilities on days off and as otherwise required. During these times you will be required to work directly with all SRS Supervisors and Leadership and provide the link between the guest and instructors.
- Support the pre-arrival process with individual communication and confirmation for each scheduled Private, contacting the guest prior to their arrival, providing that individual touch point to ensure accurate and exceptional product delivery.
- Support the daily opening, closing, and Ticket, Season Pass & Ski School offices operations during the winter season.
- Support creation and management of sales department schedules to be flexible with operating volumes in order to ensure proper coverage at all times.
- Training staff to operate efficiently in our sales system and to be knowledgeable of Kirkwood and Vail Resorts Mountains/Entities
- Ensure all employees receive the training, support, guidance, feedback and resources necessary to perform their job duties.
- Work with Management team to resolve customer issues and complete the service recovery process as well as supervise sale and return of all related products.
- Create a fun and professional work experience while communicating in a courteous and respectful manner to both guests and peers.
- Support follow through with resolution of guest complaints; handle concerns and suggestions; Manage guest feedback from surveys, emails, phone calls and face-to-face interaction with parents and students.
- Participate in resort and departmental trainings and development courses.
- Fill-in for other Leads or coordinators as dictated by business levels or as assigned by manager.
- Attend and participate in regular meetings of the leadership team and disseminate the information gathered to their own team in a timely and efficient manner.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient on Microsoft applications and/or POS software
- Ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English
- Typing skills with an emphasis on data collection
- Ability to answer questions and speak intelligently about all resort products
- Fun, outgoing personality traits
- Take timeliness and deliverable tasks seriously
- Cash handling experience
- Ability to develop a quick rapport with high end clientele
- Ability to stay calm in busy and stressful situations
- Must be at least 18 years of age, or 16 years of age with a work permit
Preferred Skills
- PSIA or AASI Certfication or previous Ski & Ride School experience
- Prior experience with (resort) POS software – Guest Connect
- Previous guest service experience
- College Degree
- Outdoor Enthusiasts
The expected pay range is $20.00 - $24.49. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
