Product Development Manager - Medical Device

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Product Development Manager to provide marketing support and assistance with developing plans for new products. This role is designed to collaborate with our Sales and Engineering teams relating to product ideas and requests from customers, driving business growth and opportunities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Create genuine, trusting relationships with surgeons, hospital staff, internal team members and potential new customers.
• Serves as liaison between clients, sales and engineering on product feedback, requests, and ideas. 
• Partner and communicate with regional Sales Reps to understand business needs including consumer trends & challenges.
• Activities are focused on new product development and management including completing required documentation and maintaining deadlines.
• Coordinate with Sales and Engineering on the development, communication plan, and implementation of marketing strategies for new products.
• Provide timely and consistent communication of brand strategies, performance, and key information to partners throughout the company.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of Medical Devices products, competitive products and have in-depth understanding of the Kirwan offering in product line.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Experience working within ISO 13485 Quality System
• Strong Product Knowledge in the Medical Device field
• Operating room experience preferred
• Ability to transform strategy and vision into impactful, executable plans within the organization with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing related field.
• At least five years of experience in Sales, Marketing or Project Management with a Medical Device Company.

Physical Requirements:

• Travel as needed for meetings with surgical staff and occasional travel for trade shows.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
