Vivid Position Description

In this role you will be responsible for monitoring production processes and operations to ensure the manufacturing of quality products. You will need to inspect products per internal and customer requirements and then report defective parts as necessary or approve parts for continued manufacturing. Maintaining documented records of calibration for all related quality measuring tools as well as scheduling outside calibration resources is required.

The review and collaboration of customer quality requirements along with the estimating of work to meet such requirements will be done regularly. You will work alongside our customers to ensure their success. Part of that success will be the maintenance and implementation of our own internal quality policies.

On a daily basis you will be expected to read and interpret blueprints at an expert level, write quality reports for customer consumption, and use numerous inspection tools to achieve the desired results. You will need to draft quality records for other departments to complete on a project by project basis. A high proficiency with computers and inspection software will be necessary for this position. The exploration and selection of new inspection equipment to improve efficiency will be required.

You will work alongside machinists, grinders, welders, assemblers, and engineers to achieve the necessary results of the team. When feedback is needed with regards to quality you will be required to engage these other disciplines on their terms and explain why something may need to be reworked or done differently to achieve the desired outcome.

All work is done onsite at our campus on Hyde Park Road near Leechburg PA in one of our three temperature controlled facilities. As a contract manufacturer we provide services in both high and low volumes to a variety of customers. Your efforts will assist our Automotive, Government, Energy, and Automation customers.

At Kiski Precision it is our goal to provide everyone who works here a place to retire from. This requires all employees to learn new skills, adapt to changing market conditions and contribute to the success of the company. Charismatic leadership that strives for high quality results will be available to enable your success. You will need to bring an appetite for learning as well as a passion for making those around you successful.

Is this job for you?

If you are unable to read a blueprint and establish your own course of action, then this position is not for you. Experience inspecting parts and being in a quality team is required. We are looking for fresh perspective and new innovative ways of operating so if that is something you wish to share, this is the right role for you.

Kiski Precision is not currently ISO 9001 or AS9100 certified, but these are both accreditations that we are considering. Having experience in either one of these certifications will be very useful for this position. We are a fast paced organization that changes rapidly and has diverse needs. If you are looking for a position where you do the same thing all the time, this is not the role for you.

You will be exposed to noisy conditions, lifting 50 pounds or more, parts that are in various stages of production, cranes, electrical systems and standing for extended periods of time. If any of these things concern you then this is likely not the position for you.

There will be times when working more than 40 hours a week will be necessary to achieve the desired results.
