Job Description We have an exciting opportunity at Kite for an Associate Director, Global Insights Analytics. This position will be on the Pipeline Portfolio team and will support Kite’s commercialization efforts for pipeline assets in Cell Therapy, inform the lifecycle management process, and collaborate with key stakeholders to guide product and disease area strategy. This opportunity is based at Kite’s HQ in Santa Monica, CA but a remote arrangement may be considered for the right candidate and include travel to HQ (~3x per quarter depending on business needs). In this role, you will participate actively in commercial efforts by providing an objective and detailed understanding of current and future markets, product performance, customers, and competitors. You will also be responsible for generating foundational market understanding within the Cell Therapy area through the implementation of market research and forecasting activities. Key Responsibilities Forecasting Leverage primary and secondary research insights and cross-functional partners’ inputs to design and develop, and maintain patient-based (epi) forecasting models Produce analogues, formulate assumptions, and define opportunities and risks associated with the forecast Conduct forecast scenario analysis to inform and support decisions by cross-functional partners (e.g., BD, Commercial, Marketing, R D, Finance) Provide guidance and input for short-term demand planning Synthesize market dynamics to identify potential drivers impacting performance and Assumes full responsibility for accuracy and reliability of analyses Market Research Independently lead projects, coordinating input from the cross-functional team to scope, design and manage the execution of qualitative and quantitative market research studies with physicians, patients, and payers Integrate results of market research, latest competitive intelligence, as well as secondary metrics into actionable insights Oversee vendors to determine appropriate research methodology, ensure project alignment to business goals and guide execution and reporting General Effectively collaborate with and communicate to key stakeholder groups to support strategic and tactical decision making (e.g., opportunity assessments, brand planning) with insightful analysis that accurately and objectively reflect the current market dynamics, product performance, customers, and competitors to augment the potential of cell therapy Basic Qualifications Doctorate and 2 years of experience OR Master’s Degree and 8 years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of experience OR Associate and 12 years of experience OR High School Degree and 14 years of experience Preferred Qualifications Experience in forecasting and market research within the biotech / pharmaceutical industry Understanding of the hematology / oncology clinical landscape and the business of cell therapy Prior experience in Lymphoma or Myeloma Demonstrated ability to work in frequent collaboration with others and work cross-functionally Experience in managing and supporting multiple projects in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment, with changing priorities and significant time pressures Strategic agility to adapt expertise in forecasting and primary market research to a biopharmaceutical field where standard frameworks do not exist Demonstrated ability to extract business insights and provide strategic recommendations based on analysis findings Excellent communicator who is comfortable presenting to senior key team members and defending forecast assumptions Experience working on a co-commercialized asset The salary range for this position is: $168,980.00 - $218,680.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
