With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. First to deliver the best imaging and classification data for every defect or point on any layer at any time. EBeam's mission encapsulates its role as the "eyes" of KLA's product line, providing timely information on defects and critical locations on the wafer at the highest spatial resolution possible. Customers use EBeam products alongside KLA patterned and bare wafer inspectors to quickly understand the nature of defects and other imperfections on product wafers and take action to correct the manufacturing process.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
The E-beam technology team is seeking an electron optical engineer for next generation product development effort. The position will include everything from researching initial concepts and designs, development of prototypes, and productization of tools.
Responsibilities will include:
Design of experiment for charged particle optics system characterization and critical risk retirement
Hands on execution of experimental plans, debugging of test setups, analysis and presentation of results.
Communicate system requirements with other engineers including, but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, and SW requirements.
Write system requirement documentation and defend under peer review.
Work with outside vendors to source key components as needed. Write and provide Scope-of-Work documentation.
Lead small, cross-disciplinary teams for subsystem development and risk retirement
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) or work experience of 2 years , Master's Level Degree or work experience of 4 years , Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 5 years
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidate should have a background with 5 years of hands-on experience in high voltage, vacuum and electron microscopy.
Knowledge of electron optics design is preferred. 2 years of experience in charged particles trajectories simulation software (e.g., Munro's Electron Beam Software) is a plus.
Understanding and experience in electro-magnetic field simulations is also preferred.
The position will require a broad skill set including theoretical understanding and experimental execution of research and development electron beam test fixtures and modules.
Furthermore, the candidate should be comfortable with scripting, Matlab, and statistics packages such as JMP.
