Kloppenberg has a great opportunity for an Inventory Controller to join our Team!

Kloppenberg is seeking an intelligent, motivated Inventory Controller who will maintain accurate inventory, fulfill production requests, monitor and communicate issues, shortages, and discrepancies, receive goods into inventory, and work to improve Safety, Quality, Productivity using best practices.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain consistent stock of inventory, plan for replenishment.
  • Perform stock job transfers within 2 hours of receipt following best practices.
  • Pull and kit parts for open jobs on the floor.
  • Receive purchased goods into inventory using ERP system.
  • Monitor P.O. report, communicate delays & discrepancies.
  • Provide inventory reports to materials team manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of goods received/issued.
  • Monitor Make & Buy parts inventories, communicate needs to planners.
  • Clear Dock daily of all inbound receipts.
  • Conduct cycle counts, make adjustment recommendations.
  • Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
  • Operates forklift truck when necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as requested.
  • Assist in month end closing.
  • Lead count teams during physical inventory.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • Proficient keyboarding skills.
  • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Able to develop professional relationships with outside vendors.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with computerized inventory systems required.
  • Forklift operator certification preferred.
  • Continuous Improvement, 5-S, Kaizen, LEAN experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
  • Must be able to climb ladders/steps, use pallet jacks & hand trucks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.50 per hour
