As an Architectural Designer for KM BUILDERS, you'll contribute to our Client Experience by working closely with the design team to brainstorm ideas and provide different design options to show clients. As a team, you'll be responsible for helping them envision their dream home. You'll have the opportunity to excite clients and help them fall back in love with their homes by helping them envision their future remodel with 3D renderings. Each project you work on will allow you to hone in on your creative skills and be challenged to create unique design plans that will cater to the different design preferences of our clients. Responsibilities

  • 3-5 years of project design training and/or work experience in residential architecture. This includes drafting details, floor plans, and abiding by construction standards.
  • Manages client plans and provides input on architectural performance.
  • Ensure all architectural drawings are completed before each client and office meeting.
  • Ensures that the Build team is all in possession of the most accurate plans and drawings.
  • Participate in the development of new digital programs and equipment.
  • Ensures efficient inventory control and storage of client drawings.
  • Strong mathematical and visualization skills.
  • Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Generate new design concepts, create fresh ideas on projects to meet client requirements and continue the architectural development through all design phases.
  • Be an effective presenter of ideas and concepts to clients.
  • Work collaboratively with the Design team
  • Function as a conduit between conceptual design process and architectural implementation.
  • Possess knowledge of interior finishes.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of documentation per assigned project, including project plans, specifications, change requests, and daily correspondence with design/build team.
  • Assist in coordinating documents using adobe, PDF-Xchange, and Excel.
  • Produce working sets of drawings/details as needed to Project Managers and coordinators for construction.
  • Visit projects for initial documentation of existing conditions.

  • Previous experience in design, construction or other related fields is not required but highly encouraged.

  • Strong knowledge of residential construction design and code.
  • Ability to read, understand and implement adjustments to architectural and structural blueprints.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes and all scopes of work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and Project.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour
