Responsibilities
As Survey Manager you are responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of your team, including client management and business development. The Survey Manager must be able to work under minimal supervision while handling resource management, production, quality control, proposal writing, and staff development. This includes:
- Manage projects from start to finish, while implementing company quality standards and client specifications
- Oversee delivery of survey data and files to clients and maintain accurate records of all revisions, changes, and request for additional information.
- Develop and manage proposals, budgets, schedules, billings, and contracts
- Sign and seal plats, field notes and control drawings when required
- Establish work plans and staffing requirements for multiple projects
- Participate in business development opportunities and maintain strong client relationships
- Develop and conduct presentations to clients and other critical stakeholders
- Interface with sub-consultants and other business relationships to increase opportunities
- Manage and report financial status of projects
Requirements
- Texas RPLS license required
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline/and or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in project management for various projects
- Understanding of tools such as AutoCAD, Micro Station, Bluebeam, MS Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to oversee, mentor, and motivate a project team
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and problem solve
- Ability to meet or exceed compressed schedules or deadlines while maintaining teamwork and quality throughout project life cycle
